The Engineer's Duck - Making a Children's Book on Engineering

The Engineer's Duck is a children's picture story book series following the adventures of a young engineer and his trusty sidekick duck. They look to solve problems and help others all while learning about the world of engineering.

The Engineer's Duck Series

It is an eight book series with book one introducing our young readers to the characters and the concepts while touching on aspects that each of the subsequent books will explore.

Each book will introduce a new duck and characters who are subject matter experts in the various areas of engineering.

Documenting the Process

In order to develop the series lots of research and work has gone into it and as we execute on the vision for book one, we will be documenting the whole process to bring you along the journey.

This serves two purposes. number one is of course it helps to bring awareness to the work and keeps it transparent and honest. number two is the fact that parents can see the writing process, the illustrator developing the concepts and know the books are created with the vision, knowledge, and experience of passionate people on the topic.

Introduce Your Little Learners Early

This series is a great way to introduce your child early to technical concepts in an accessible and friendly way with both use of rhyming language, storytelling, illustration, and also our signature point-and-follow reader prompts encouraging your child to follow the story.
